How to play Brasolero

Brasolero FieldBrasolero is played by 2 players or two teams of 2 players each. The court is divided by two vertical netting and a corridor.

The shape of the field feels funny? Don’t you worry, you’ll get used to it in no time.

The object of the game is to send the ball over, around or between the nets in order to ground it on the opponent’s court, and to prevent the same effort by the opponent.

The ball is put in play with a service: hit by the server over the net to the opponents. The player or team has one hit for returning the ball (direct return). The rally continues until the ball is grounded on the playing court, goes “out” or a team fails to return it properly.

IMG_3546In Brasolero, the player or team winning a rally scores a point (Rally Point System). When the receiving player or team wins a rally, it gains a point and the right to serve.
A set is won by the player or team that first scores 21 points with a minimum lead of two points, the match is won by the player or team that wins two sets. In the case of a tie, a 3rd deciding set is played to 15 points (with a minimum lead of 2 points).
